World Space Week 2026 is under way from October 4 to 10 under the theme "Rocket Revolution," centred on how falling launch costs could open space access to more countries and organisations. Google noted the event with a dedicated Doodle, while Adafruit joined events tied to the week.

The European Space Agency joined forces with Pokemon GO to offer a special Astronaut Pikachu to players during the week. Katara also got involved with the event. World Space Week is the most widely observed space event each year, marked in more than 90 countries.
