Australian Radio Network disclosed a $28 million loss paired with a 14 percent revenue fall for its first half. Legal fees and boycotts tied to the Kyle and Jackie O program cost ARN $55 million. This figure included a $38 million charge for brand safety fallout. The network held responsible host Kyle Sandilands for the significant decrease in first-half revenue.
ARN chief Stephenson noted that the broadcaster saw its metro revenue share shrink rather than rivals winning it. ARN said both replacement shows will go ahead this year.
